This week I presented my summer research, reflected on my themes, and considered whether I wanted to collaborate on the final film.

I think my presentation went well and I put the right amount of detail for a short 3/5 minutes. I think it would’ve been beneficial if I practiced and timed myself speaking as I could’ve clarified my points. For my summer work, I should’ve put more time into researching my family dynamic theme as this week I have found myself leaning toward it. I’ve been consuming more children’s animated films and found inspiration in the loose and rubbery style. I’m really interested in pushing my posing and rigs. At the weekend I found myself watching Puss in Boots, Hotel Transilvania 4, Lego Movie, and Marshell vs the Machines. Watching these films made me start a post where I collect scenes and make notes of parts of movies that inspiration so i can have a ‘reference bank’ when animating.
